We are thrilled to announce the World Premiere of Nick Starr’s One Thousand Blinks, a dark comedy about love, sleep deprivation and long-distance phone calls gone terribly wrong. One Thousand Blinks was also the first play in theNEST’s Reading Series, and started development in February 2008.


The cast will include Estelle Bajou, Mark Cajigao, Rachel Cornish and Drew Hirshfield. It will be directed by Malinda Sorci.

About the Playwright

Nick Starr was an artist in residence at The Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles. His play The Songs of Forgettance won an LAWeekly award for best short play and his play The Awesome Dance was produced at The Cherry Lane by Speranza Theater Company. He received his MFA in playwriting from the New School for Drama and currently teaches screenwriting at SUNY New Paltz.
